The NYDA’s Business Consultancy Services Voucher Programme (BCSVP) helps young entrepreneurs gain access to quality business development support, ranging from others, accounting, bookkeeping, financial administration services and business plan development from accredited service providers.

Entrepreneurs access these services through vouchers, which range from R750 to R18 000. In return the recipient of the voucher is required to make a R200 contribution towards each voucher. Young entrepreneurs are entitled to a maximum of four vouchers each.

A voucher is used to purchase business support services from approved service providers. Services on offer include:

  • Business Registration
  • Branding and Design
  • Bookkeeping and Financial Administration
  • Legal Services
  • Web-based Marketing
  • Due Diligence
  • Tendering
  • Payroll System
  • Business Plan Improvement
  • Marketing Strategy and Plan
  • Business Plan Development and many other vouchers

Qualifying Entrepreneurs/Businesses:

  • Young people (between the ages of 18 to 35 years)
  • Either own an enterprise or have a viable business idea
  • Focus is mainly but not limited to entrepreneurs in the following growth-oriented sectors – Tourism;
  • Information, Communication and Technology, Manufacturing, Construction and Agro-processing
  • Able to pay a R200 contribution towards the service of their choice
  • Own at least 50% of the new or existing business
  • Be a South African citizen
  • An individual can only receive up to a maximum of four vouchers.


  1. The applicant obtains and completes an application form from www.nyda.gov.za
  2. Visits the nearest NYDA branch
  3. S/he submits the application form to an NYDA branch
  4. An assessment is conducted to assess the applicant and his/her business against the service they are applying for
  5. If approved, the applicant needs to select an accredited service provider from the service provider directory(not supplier directory)
  6. The applicant then makes a R200 contribution and presents proof of payment to an NYDA to an NYDA branch
  7. On receipt of the voucher, the selected service provider provides the service and the applicant/client endorses the voucher on completion of the project.
  8. The service provider then submits the final product to the NYDA for payment*
