INCUBATION STAGES

There are six stages/entry points, with different sets of entry criteria applicable to each level/entry point. This is to ensure small enterprises and entrepreneurs are positioned correctly to extract maximum benefit from the incubator value propositions.

MASTER CLASS: 8 Week programme

The main objective of the Master Class stage is to provide a structured programme to assess entrepreneurial readiness and commitment to the product/ service. The Master Class focuses on four main areas.

  • Decision to become and entrepreneur
  • Developing successful business ideas
  • Moving from an idea to an Entrepreneurial Firm
  • Managing and Growing and Entrepreneurial Firm 

PRE-INCUBATION: 3 months programme

The main objective of the Pre-incubation stage is to support entrepreneurs converting their ideas into viable finished products/services with potential yield benefit. The main contribution from the pre-incubation process is that it guarantees that companies entering the incubation process are ready to be developed. SNII will assist in developing your idea:

  • Facilitate registration of entity
  • Feasibility study
  • General Business Management Skills

LAUNCHPAD: 6 months programme

The main objective of the LaunchPad stage is to support entrepreneurs recently started their businesses, to assist with appropriately approved sound business plan and ICT product/service/prototype with proof of concept but not ready to be offered to a market. The entity must be operational and need to go the next level of trading.  Launch Pad programme is a 6-month programme just waiting to assist you with:

  • Resource planning Access to financing
  • Training and skills development
  • Mentoring and Coaching
  • Strategic Planning – business plan role-out
  • Marketing Plan implementation (including access to market)
  • Risk mitigation
  • Networking

 

FULL INCUBATION: 24 months programme

The main objective of the Full Incubation stage is to support entrepreneurs that need to be housed in the development programme the centre has to offer. The entity must be trading and have a customer base with basic human resources in place. Full Incubation programme that assists and guides you with:

  • Business Plan Implementation
  • Specialised Mentoring and Coaching
  • In-House training
  • Access to Marketing networks
  • Access to Finance
  • Quality assurance
  • Office Facilities 

VIRTUAL INCUBATION: 18 months programme

The main objective of the Virtual Incubation stage is to support entrepreneurs that don’t need the office facilities but require the development programme the centre has to offer. The entity must be trading and have a customer base with basic human resources.

                                         

POST INCUBATION:

The main objective of the Post incubation support is to ensure that the success of the business is sustained once graduated. Research has proven that companies are best supported by receiving guidance and ensuring that best practices learned, continue to be implemented. Some of these activities include:

  • Networking: Involving graduated companies in all networking activities organised by the Incubator or where the Incubator is invited to attend.
  • Bi-monthly mentoring sessions*
